Drawing botanicals is relaxing and a sweet break from my art practice on occasion. This drawing came about when a sprig from a Crab-Apple tree, laden with the fruit fell into the grass below. I lais it on the table in the studio and did a quick sketch which was then enlarged and exposed onto a screen. Screen printing is a good way to preserve drawings that can be printed in various colours. The scanned image (like this one) on the otherhand can be enlarged and manipulated to different sizes.
